2007 AGM
The 2007 Annual General Meeting and Mini-meet will be held at Keen House, Calshot Street, London, from 10.00am to 4.30pm, with setting up from 8am.
Whilst the main business of the day is the AGM itself, starting at 2pm, the following layouts have been booked (or in the case of Copenhagen Fields, lives at Keen House anyway!):
- British Oak - The 2mm demo layout by Mark Fielder
- Copenhagen Fields - The Model Railway Club
- Cotstart East - Andrew Cox
- Highbury Colliery - Jerry Clifford
- Marks Quay - Peter Whitehead
In addition, Bill Blackburn will be showing the first completed board of his "Long Melford" layout and Mark Fielder will be bringing along some of his narrow gauge items.
Geoff Jones will be demonstrating the "Versaline" track system.
Due to major shows in Chelmsford and Blackburn, trade stands are thin on the ground, although Allen Doherty (Worsley Works) and the Association Shop will be pleased to relieve your wallet in customary fashion.
A new feature this year is an area, along with two showcases, for members' models that are not necessarily to be entered in the Annual Competition. Please bring along anything you think others will be interested in.
And finally ..The Annual Competition. Our judge this year is Paul Jones of Warley fame so please make his journey down from the West Midlands worthwhile. Will Bob's two 9Fs be beaten for the Groves Trophy .??
